Spray drone

We use specialised drone technology to reach further, work smarter and tackle more. From roofs and solar farms to agriculture, vegetation control and hard-to-reach sites, our drones can get the job done while helping keep people safely on the ground.

Our services

Maintenance and treatment from the air

High-access maintenance

Roofs and the awkward bits of warehouses and plant treated from the air, including moss, mould and lichen, so your people don’t have to go up there.

  • Large commercial and industrial roofs
  • Cladding and difficult elevations
  • Warehouses and plant
  • Moss, mould and lichen treatment
  • Iron, concrete, gutters and valleys
  • Building and roof cleaning
  • Reduced work at height
  • Less need for scaffolding and elevated access equipment

Solar farm maintenance

Keep your solar assets clean, well maintained and performing at their best. Drone Ranger can treat and clean large solar arrays from the air, reducing the need for people and equipment to move between rows of panels.

  • Commercial and utility-scale solar farms
  • Dirt, dust and surface build-up
  • Moss, lichen and biological growth
  • Panels, frames and difficult-to-access areas
  • Roof-mounted solar systems
  • Reduced access and foot traffic around arrays

Agriculture & horticulture

Aerial application for farms, orchards, vines and lifestyle blocks, especially where ground based machines can’t get in without making a mess, damaging crops or putting people in harms way.

  • Crop, pasture and forage applications
  • Orchards, vines and horticulture
  • Fertiliser and targeted spray
  • Hill country and wet paddocks
  • Less tracking and ground disturbance

Invasive vegetation & weed control

Take on vegetation in places that are slow, steep or unsafe to get to from the ground — from the air, so you don’t have to put a crew on a nasty slope.

  • Gorse
  • Wilding pines
  • Blackberry
  • Other invasive vegetation
  • Steep and hard-to-reach country
  • Less time on the face, less tracking

Why use Drone Ranger?

Keep people on the ground

Reduce the need for people to work at height or access steep, awkward and difficult areas.

Reduce access requirements

Where the job allows, minimise the need for scaffolding, elevated work platforms, vehicles and other access equipment.

Reach difficult places

Get to roofs, high walls, steep country, large solar arrays and other areas that can be challenging to access conventionally.

Less ground disturbance

Treat areas without putting heavy machinery or vehicles across crops, pasture or sensitive ground.

Cover large areas

Modern drone technology can efficiently apply treatments across large surfaces and difficult terrain.

A smarter way to work

We combine drone technology, mapping and careful planning to find practical ways to tackle jobs that don't have an easy conventional solution.

The Drone Ranger approach

Assess. Plan. Apply. Report.

Every job is different. Whether we're treating a commercial roof, maintaining a solar farm, tackling vegetation on steep country or carrying out an agricultural application, we start by understanding the job and planning it properly.

  1. 01

    Assess

We look at the job, the site and the challenge.

We assess the area to be treated, access, terrain, surrounding property, people, weather conditions and any site-specific health and safety considerations. We also look at the surface, vegetation, crop or asset involved and what you're trying to achieve.

  2. 02

    Plan

We work out the smartest way to get it done.

We plan the flight, coverage, application method, product and operating area. Where appropriate, we use mapping and site data to define treatment areas and identify potential hazards, boundaries and sensitive areas.

  3. 03

    Apply

We put the plan into action from the air.

Our trained operators use specialised drone equipment to carry out the application or treatment. Whether it's roof treatment, solar farm maintenance, weed and vegetation control, or an agricultural or horticultural application, we focus on accurate coverage and controlled application.

  4. 04

    Report

You get a clear record of the work we've done.

Where required, we can provide mapping, treatment areas, application details, flight information and job records for your files, farm records, maintenance programmes or contractor reporting.

From first look to finished job

We don't just turn up with a drone. We assess the challenge, plan the work, carry out the application and document the job.

That means a considered approach from start to finish — with safety, accuracy and the practical requirements of the site built into the process.
